I haven't been doing much to my hair this year, as compared to last year. The last time I had my hair professionally colored was like 10 months ago... last year June!

2 days ago, I went for a last minute hair workshop at the new Goldwell (Kao) office. I was late... b'coz I mistook UE Square for United Square... Zzzzzz... blur me! The former is at Clemenceau Ave, whereas the latter is at Novena area.

The theme was "sweet" hair colors. What came to my mind immediately was... Japanese kawaii girls' soft and sweet kind of hair color... those we mostly see in Vivi, Popteens... I was more than happy when they actually mean "sweet" hair colors, which are inspired by confectionery... think macaroons in candy colors ♥

The session took about 5 ½ hours. I wanted pink and purple, something like Xiaxue's... but not the whole head of coz (I can't carry off the look...)! Due to time constraint, the hair stylist can only do warm tones on my hair. Hence, no candy hues for me >.<" unless my hair color is as light as Jone's...

My hair crown is supposed to be the darkest (dark ruby red), gradually lighter at the hair ends. The pinks are "hidden" beneath the darker hair strands.

I love the neon pinks! :P

I took a considerable time doing this makeup look. More than an hour, in fact. I spent most of the time doing my eye makeup, ensuring it was wearable enough (before I head out for the Keratinology event).

Yes, I finally used Essence I ♥ ROCK gloss eye pencil! I lined the upper and lower lashline thicker than usual, extending a little beyond the eye. As it was supposed to be subtle and wearable, I didn't make the line thicker towards the outer end. Then, I applied Stila Mineral Matte Eye Shadow in Batura (a dark gray shade) over the liner as it smudges on its own.

For the entire lid area (above the liner) and lower lashline (over the liner), I applied Maquillage VI144 (a lilac shade with silver micro-shimmer bits).

I literally spammed 3 different mascaras for my lashes - Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara (to hold the curls), Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Frame Plus Mascara BK999 (to comb the lashes) & Heroine Make Volume & Curl Mascara (for volumized and glossy black lashes). That explains the time taken for this look yea. I like to experience with different mascara combi, to achieve my desired look. Some mascaras don't work wonders on its own.

For the eyebrows, I used the Mio Piccolo Automatic Eyebrow Pencil MB. I like how the color looks on me. Sad to say, it ain't long-lasting. I had to briefly touch-up the brows after merely 3 hours. *DOTS DOTS*

For overall contour, I used the bronzer part of Pop Beauty Cheeky Cake in Beach Beauti. I applied that under the cheek bones from the hairline to the apple of cheeks. Next, I applied Alobon Bake Blush 03 over. Finally, I used MAC By Candlelight MSF as a highlight just above the blush/bronzer area.

The base makeup products I used:- Kevin Beautymaker DNA Extreme Whitening Foundation (Natural) & YSL Matt Pressed Powder No.1. I did some minor concealing with Kevin Beautymaker BB Mineral Concealing Cream.

I lightly brushed Kevin Beautymaker Bright Eye Pressed Powder under my eyes, to brighten up my peepers.

Last but not least, Laneige Snow Crystal Moisture Lipstick SYR02 Nude Beige on pre-balmed lips.

Yay or Nay?

I ♥ this photo of us (: That's my lovely gf-s, Serene & Xianglin.

No, I'm not wearing a wig here. This photo was taken last year when I was still having long hair. Do you miss my long hair ? :p

It has been sometime since we took photo(s) together but we do meet up regularly. I love going JB with her and Xianglin, eat, shop, do hair/nails. And, we always go there by bus, not car. It's always a whole day affair; tiring but super fun ! It's always fun to hang out with 'em since they ain't fussy and definitely not those who've serious "princess sickness". TSK

 

And so, after not meeting Serene for a month or so, we finally met up for dinner and shopping. A very fruitful day indeed :p Haven't been meeting Xianglin for months ! Nvm, gonna meet her soon at the end of this month (:

I intro-ed her to Itacho Sushi (Orchard Ion), my favorite place for sushi and sashimi. 1st up, this is a die-die must order dish if you're into salmon. Each person is limited to order 4 pieces @ $0.40 each, with the usual price being $0.80. The taste is freaking AWESOME and it's SOOO CHEAP ! Ok, this is the cheapest as it can get. The rest of the other sushi-s are kinda EX or very EX. She is lovin' these grilled salmon with soy sauce sushi-s as much as I do :D

Fresh salmon sushi ♥, raw prawn sushi ♥, grilled salmon belly sushi ♥. Hmm I don't like the taste of raw prawns, Chantana loves 'em -.-

California maki is YUMMY !

Curry lobster tamago (again) ! A bit too much for us though the portion is not very big. Kinda sweet, ya know.

Aww how can I not order salmon belly sashimi ? They are FATTY & YUMMY :d~

Grilled pork sushi-s. Not nice this time, so disappointed. The meat was too tough !

Tempura prawn sushi (green tea sea-salt). $1.70 which (to me) is EX.

Ooo.. it was an unexpected treat from her ! *muacks* ♥

MAC Stylishly Yours: Dark Diversion Fluidline is nothing like the shade as shown.

This looks more of a cool-toned purple, yes ?

Dark Diversion is a darkened burgundy-brown with berry-wine undertones and subtle berry micro-shimmer.  This is a new and limited edition shade. (credits to Temptalia)

This limited edition shade is too pretty to pass, seriously ! It's no doubt a must-buy for me :p

Single layer vs Double layer ♥

The fluidline is easy to apply, glides on the eyes effortlessly since it's so creamy and pigmented. I love the subtle berry micro-shimmers, which brightens up the whole look somehow (; Very lasting; the color doesn't fade at all.

My LOTD. Now, you know why I name it Color Contrast. You must be wondering why the hell did I use turquoise mascara ?!

I actually tried this Turquoise Colored Mascara from the Make Up Store. I didn't purchase it in the end, though I kinda like the unique color. Too expensive IMO =.=

Now, food porn time !

Dim sum at Crystal Jade Palace Restaurant with Sandy and Jessie. Initially wanted to go Imperial Treasure BUT full house. No choice :,/ By the time they called, we were already in the midst of eating. It's advisable to go during the weekdays, seriously. Preferably before lunchtime.

And so, the custard buns were so-so. Disappointed coz Imperial Treasure serve awesome ones !! Don't believe, ask Kim :p

Ok, the har gaus were pretty good. Comparable, IMO.

This was alright too. Steamed pork ribs.

Roasted pork, I like ! I'll love it much much more if the serving is more generous :p

Siew mai taste good too albeit lil' salty. Not too porky. You know, the difference between normal siew mai and restaurant siew mai lies in the amount of prawns used (at least to me) XD

Prawn chee cheong fun. The skin is just a lil' thick, that's all. Other than that, I like it pretty much.

Fried prawn dumplings. Not too oily, just abit salty =.=

I still prefer Imperial Treasure char siew paus. *SIGH*

I forgot the name of this dish. Sweet muah-chee like skin with savory white radish fillings, I think. Taste not bad, surprisingly. Just too oily.

The century egg/lean meat porridge had a chao-tah taste :/ They didn't charge us for this. I wonder if anyone else "complained" about it ?

 

Dinner was as sumptuous I guess. Super-filling lunch and dinner but I ain't complaining !!

Oh, we were at Bedok Point, new shopping mall in Bedok *DUH* Hmm it's more of a food mall to me hahas !

We settled our dinner at Chicken Hot Pot. There was a long queue, and the food on the tables look exceptionally delicious. The people there were enjoying their food, as seen from the satisfying expressions :X

The chicken hot pot. Looks good eh. Taste even better ! The sauce is spicy and so addictive. I can literally finish a bowl of white rice drenched with this super awesome sauce teehee~ :P It's really THAT awesome ! The serving size is for 4 pax btw, with only 3 of us finishing the food effortlessly LOL

We ordered mushrooms too, which we added into the chicken hot pot. YUMMY !! Should've ordered more mushrooms. Lime juice for me and my sis, coke for my bro (not in photos).

We ordered a set which comes with prawn hot pot as well. It could be better if the prawns were more fresh. Other than that, I like the taste.

Did you spot an unusual ingredient ?

Yes, fries. Soggy, coz they'd been soaked in the sauce for quite long. Underneath the prawns and fries were onions, celeries, etc. I helped myself to the flavorful celeries in both the chicken and prawn hot pots :D

Last last friday, I attended Secretive's "Diamond Sparkle VIP Party" together with Ryna and Jessie.

Inside MBS. We were at Tower One btw.

The bathroom is HUMONGOUS ! I literally gasped when I saw the bathroom (X

Now, you know what I mean by HUMONGOUS ? There's a bathtub as well ! The size of the bathroom bigger than the hotel room I stayed in HK =.=

Hmm I didn't really try out much of the products. Later you'll know why x: I caught a whiff of ElishaCoy Milk Cacao Black Sugar Scrub and the cacao smell was very distinct indeed. An uncanny resemblance to Nutella XD

Tried the ElishaCoy BB All-In-One Cleanser as well. It foams well and I love the hint of floral scent.

for lips, i'm using the lip gloss from the kose esprique limited ed x'mas set 2009.. love the shimmer glossy finish (:
