To be honest, I was never a fan of Crocs. Oh well, never say never. heh.

Hmm... it was only until I saw their new styles, that I can now proclaim Crocs was no longer... just a clog! Oh yeah!~

After much contemplation, I decided on this bold & basic Carlisa Mini Wedge ($114.90).

There are 3 colors to choose from -- Viola/pink Lemonade exudes cute girly charm, while the classic Black/Silver and Espresso/Bronze colours add the 'ooh' factor to your everyday work attire.

I chose Espresso/Bronze, simply b'coz the color is easy to match with most of my usual outfits. Dresses, mainly.

I especially like the 2-inch heel height it comes with, which makes it look not too casual.

I'm was at Domino's Tampines AGAIN!

The primary focus of this Domino's pizza gathering, is on the fact that ALL Domino's menu items in Singapore are halal certified.

According to the Islamic worldview, 'Halal’ is an Arabic word which means lawful or allowable. Any food or drink which falls under this category is permitted for consumption. Most food and drinks are considered Halal unless they are stated clearly in the Quran (holy book of Islam) and Hadith (prophetic sayings) as forbidden or non-Halal.

I'd more or less covered Domino's Pizza introduction/delivery/service standards in my earlier post HERE.

Hmm... I didn't get to see this pizza previously... It's called "The Big BBQ"! The dark sauce drizzled on the pizza is the BBQ sauce which doesn't taste too sweet, I like!

I think I've tried ALL Domino's Pizzas! My favorite pizza crust is undoubtedly - the NEW! Cheese Burst (2 crunchy thin crusts with a layer of creamy cheddar cheese sauce in-between).

Domino's simply amazed me by its high quality standards, be it takeway/delivery. There was not even once I'm unsatisfied with the food quality esp. the pizza itself. I've tried Domino's way before I attended these events. And, I must say the standards are there (very much maintained). Domino's is top on my list, followed by Sarpino's Pizzeria. The rest are meh (in terms of delivery standards).

I ♥ the golden roasted drumlets very-very much!

Domino's uses cornmeal instead of oil beneath the pizza dough to prevent it from sticking to the pizza stone.

The ever-so-sinful dessert (chocolate lava cake) to end the pizza feast! Apparently, it's everyone's favorite.

Last but not least - Domino's Pizza Cheer. They do this cheer every day without fail!

Marinated in authentic Tom Yam spices.

Goes really well with the cheese dip. I didn't go "crazy" on these though.

BUT much juicier and tastier! SERIOUS!

This look so normal I thought I won't like it. I was so-so-wrong...

Freshly-baked garlic bread.

Doesn't taste like the conventional ones. The garlic taste is not that strong.

A lovely sweet treat; for the sweet-tooth.

The classic favorite.

Think I was pretty full by then, I didn't enjoy this as much...

 

Cinnastix

Soft & fluffy, with sprinkles of cinnamon & sugar. (The whitish liquid is actually sweet icing.)

I love cinnamon pastries! These taste absolutely heavenly :d~

Tower Heist (PG-13)

Main Cast: Eddie Murphy, Ben Stiller, Casey Affleck

 

An action-packed comedy movie directed by Brett Ratner (X-Men, Rush Hour film series).

A group of employees realize that they've fallen victim to a "wealthy" business man's Ponzi scheme. 4 of them conspire to commit a big-time robbery, to get back the money. Robbing an apartment which has the most advanced security and guarded by FBI 24/7 is no mean feat. The Tower's hotel manager, Josh Kovacs (Ben Stiller) decides to engage the help of his criminal neighbour - Slide (Eddie Murphy), to teach his "unexperienced" team members "the art of robbery". It's payback time!

So when Stiller meets Murphy.. do expect a series of hilarious and tickling moments! Ben Stiller is funny in his own ways. Eddie Murphy, the best comedian ever? I think he totally stole the show in Tower Heist with his fast-talking and funny facial expressions. I absolutely enjoyed the part where the witty-minded Slide commanded his "students" to steal $50 worth of stuff within 15mins. And, they were not allowed to bring along their wallets lest they cheat. Hmm.. A lesson learnt the hard way (lol)?!

And, I must say that the supporting roles played their parts really well.. especially Odessa, the feisty chambermaid (Gabourey Sidibe). Be prepared for some good laughs :D

The "not-so-good" part? A "romance" between Josh and Claire Denham, the FBI agent (Tea Leoni) that can be classified as an unlikely and redundant one. Well, it clearly went nowhere in in the end.

Overall, Tower Heist is pretty much predictable, somewhat lacking in suspense. Funny, but not at its best. A rather entertaining movie, if you're not expecting too much.

Do you know that McDonald's has more than 115 restaurants island-wide (in Singapore)? I didn't know that until I attended the McDonald's Open Doors Kitchen Tour last Sat.

The bloggers-only event was held at McDonald's @ King Albert Park.

It was my 1st OMY event and luckily I wasn't alone...... I met Clara (DblChin) & Felica there! :D

And so, the tour begins! We were led to this "secret chamber"......

The batches of assorted buns with expiry date stated. Freshness is ensured. No worries.

My usual special order(s): Double Cheese Burger (plain), McWings (all wings). I'll try McChicken Burger (add cheese) next time :p

Each segment is catered for different fried items. Everything is just so systematic yea.

Buns are toasted to perfection, using this machine here. The crew members are extremely fast and efficient! I couldn't even take a proper photo of the freshly toasted buns after numerous tries =.="

How can we forget the pipin' hot apple pies?! Crispy outer crust, with sweet caramelized apple filling...... *yum yum*

McNuggets! I truly missed the spicy ones very much...... :(
