Just celebrated my bro's birthday 2 days ago, at Itacho Sushi. Once again, "Happy 25th!" :D

My choice, a bad one. Overall, Itacho Sushi food standard was really bad. The 40-cents soya sauce salmon sushi (limited to 4pcs per person) was the saving grace of this overpriced meal. Sushi Tei will be a better choice, me thinks.

My sis bought Hello Kitty chocolates from Taiwan! Surprisingly, they tasted pretty good. I had KFC Double Down before I watched Avengers. It was sinfully tasty!

Btw, Avengers is a must-watch! Hulk is incredibly funny (lol)! I'm loving all the characters, esp. Captain America ♥

Do you know that McDonald's has more than 115 restaurants island-wide (in Singapore)? I didn't know that until I attended the McDonald's Open Doors Kitchen Tour last Sat.

The bloggers-only event was held at McDonald's @ King Albert Park.

It was my 1st OMY event and luckily I wasn't alone...... I met Clara (DblChin) & Felica there! :D

Linda, giving us a brief intro before we embarked on the tour.

And so, the tour begins! We were led to this "secret chamber"......

The batches of assorted buns with expiry date stated. Freshness is ensured. No worries.

Entering the chiller where the food items are stored. There's a freezer right behind another door. Brrr.. Super duper cold but shiok! :p

My usual special order(s): Double Cheese Burger (plain), McWings (all wings). I'll try McChicken Burger (add cheese) next time :p

Each segment is catered for different fried items. Everything is just so systematic yea.

Buns are toasted to perfection, using this machine here. The crew members are extremely fast and efficient! I couldn't even take a proper photo of the freshly toasted buns after numerous tries =.="

How can we forget the pipin' hot apple pies?! Crispy outer crust, with sweet caramelized apple filling...... *yum yum*

Had a pretty late dinner with sis at The Asian Kitchen (Vivocity).

Seriously, their service sucks!! Not the worst, but BAD is enough.

We had the Longan Red Dates (cold). Pretty refreshing and it reminded me of Cheng Tng.

I was uber hungry, so I ordered Pork Chop Fried Rice though it was already way past 9pm. It tasted alright, nothing fantastic. The fried rice portion was huge!! Enough for 2 persons and I managed to finish all by myself =.= *CLAP CLAP*

Ah mei ordered this T.A.K Chilli Soft Shell Crab Noodles. The noodles were cooked just right, the sauce was good. The soft shell crab was a MEGA DISAPPOINTMENT. It had a serious fishy smell which obviously indicates that it's not fresh at all. The fried batter was too thick, not crispy at all. Order the noodles but not the soft shell crab one!

 

 

An impromptu chill-out session with Qi. We hopped from Beer Market to The Pump Room, where we joined her friend's friends. San Miguel, Lychee Martini and a liquor which I forgot the name, Ma____ (?).

I didn't bring my camera as the batt was dead. So here's my oh-so-trusty iPhone camera. Mai hiam buay pai (hokkien for "If you're not picky, it's not bad." LOL xD

The top I wore was super unsuitable for nightlife places like this =.= Oh well, an enjoyable night nevertheless.

 

 

Kopitiam food is ♥

My favorite food at the nearby kopitiam. 招牌面线 (Signature Mee Sua). I like the chilli & vinegar kick! $3 for this is just so worth it :d~ If I can't think of anything to eat, I'll just settle with this. Easy peasy.

There are 2 prata stalls, Malay & Indian. The standard of the Indian one fell, so we went to the new Malay stall. Now, we went back to the Indian stall, coz the standard of the Malay one fell. =.=

Teh tarik was really good, just the right sweetness!

Had the usual kosong & plaster pratas :d~ They were soooooo delicious! Much much better than before! The right crispiness, not oily, just simply nice max! Yummy pratas without travelling all the way to Simpang Bedok or Jalan Kayu :D

Me love eggs! Especially runny yolk ones :d~

And the crazy me had fishhead curry twice in a week, or should I say twice in 3 days! Not the same place though. Not the same price and standard as well. Me and sis had this at Bedok Central for dinner. This particular stall was famous for curry stuff and quite a number of people eating.

This time, I had this with bro just at the kopitiam nearby for dinner. Tze char stall. Huge difference in taste. The tze char stall one is soooooo much tastier! The curry gravy was just right, not as thick and salty as the famous one. The veggies (ladyfinger, brinjal, tau pok, yam) and the fishhead itself were way fresher! And, there were tomatoes too! Next time, no need to go Bedok Central eat fishhead curry liao. Yeah! ^^v

I was super afraid when I 1st saw this golden retriever. Yes, a golden retriever that is. Hair shaven off =.=

He was feeling emo coz no more long golden locks for him.

 

 

Dinner at 4 Fingers Bonchon (Ion orchard) with Chantana and Jones before the movie, "The Green Hornet (2011)". We had 4 chicken wings each! I had a mix of soy garlic (left) and spicy (right). They are NOT the BEST chicken wings in S'pore, seriously. The meat was too dry for my liking. Overcooked :/ I just ate only the skin towards the end.

The fries were so-so. Well, I don't think they are consistent with the quality of food so I shall not "condemn" them for now.

Enjoyed the movie. We were LOL-ing throughout. My laughter was the loudest as usual. Aiyooo!~

Random dinner with Ah xin during the CNY period. Fried black carrot cake. Love the generous serving of eggs! $2 only!

Thai pineapple fried rice with fried egg. Not bad, but we waited very long! The blur uncle forgot my order despite me going there 3 times to ask about my order!!

Tom Yam Seafood. Normal, nothing fantastic

 

 

Breakfast with Ah xin again, coz I couldn't get to sleep. Love Sausage McGriddles With Egg!! Nom nom nom :d~

 

 

Random dinner with Ah mei. The mee siam was pretty good, just that it wasn't hot enough.

Nasi padang I think. Quite tasty.

The spicy chicken wasn't spicy and the meat was too dry.

Meeting up with my BFFs are definitely the happiest things I look forward to. We seldom get to meetup that often now, due to work/school commitments and all. And so, we met up weeks back to celebrate XL's birthday ♥

My favorite girls and yours truly :D Don't ask me where were we coz I don't know where exactly. It's quite near to Queenstown.

We were there to eat tze char (Chinese assorted dishes). Actually, there's 1 more guy. Didn't take photo of him oops :x

After dinner, we headed to AMK McDonald's to chill. Played Monopoly card games. Have you played this before ? Quite fun IMO.

Dinner at one of my favorite Japanese restaurant, Itacho Sushi ( Orchard Ion) ! The sushi there are super duper delicious max ! Very fresh as well.

My lil' sis was there too, forever busy with her iPhone.

MUST-order ! Salmon AND Salmon belly sashimi ! Melts in your mouth. I can easily finish 2 plates :p

For dessert, we settled at Marvelous Cream. We didn't share. This Pannacotta Mixed Berry was mine, not forgetting I ate the most at Itacho Sushi :x Regretted paying extra 50cents for the chocolate waffle. Normal one taste better.

They had different flavors, Cookies & Cream and .. forgot :x

Joaquim Porridge Buffet at Suntec Convention Centre. Standard has dropped tremendously :/ Not gonna eat that anymore.

Took alot of food but didn't manage to finish most coz NOT NICE ! Most of the food were cold lor *disappointed max*.

Dark cherry mocha and Toffee nut latte. Both not nice :/ Caramel macchiato anytime pls.
