As requested by my reader, I'll be doing a tutorial on a smoky look featuring L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in 022 Emerald Lame.

On my face, I'd already applied Laneige Natural Pure Foundation No.23 Sand Beige. The foundation has a fairly good coverage, which concealed most of my minor flaws like blemishes and scars. To conceal my dark circles, I used Ettusais Eye Zone Control in Yellow/Beige. A little goes a long way. Too much will accentuate fine lines.

I filled my brow gaps using Lancôme Le Crayon Sourcils Eyebrow Pencil in Brun. Make Up For Ever HD Blush #8 PDA, blended on my cheeks.

• Apply Too Faced Shadow Insurance prior eyeshadow application. Using an eye primer will prevent the eyeshadow from fading and creasing.
• Then, I applied L'oreal Infallible Eyeshadow in 022 Emerald Lame all over the lid area using my (middle) finger. Alternatively, you can use a brush.
• To define my eyes, I tightlined my upper lashline using Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl Waterproof Eyeliner 01 Raisin Noir. I do the same for 1/3 of my lower lashline (from the outer edge inwards).

 

• I smudged the eyeliner lightly using 7bella 5E 05 Pencil Brush, then use the same brush to apply my favorite taupe brown shade from Majolica Majorca Jeweling Eyes PK785 on top of the smudged eyeliner. For a more intense look, you can use a darker eyeshadow.
• I define the outer-V using the same taupe brown shade.
• Using 7bella 7S01 Small Highlight Brush, I lightly dusted a mix of the pale gold & light pink shades from Majolica Majorca Jeweling Eyes PK785 on my brow bone, and blend out the emerald green + taupe brown shades.

 

• I dusted the glittery light pink shade from Lavshuca Star Decoration Eyes BR-2 to highlight the area where my epicanthal fold (with 7bella 3E 01 Eyeliner Brush). I also dusted some above the eye contour.
• Finally, I curled my lashes with Koji eyelash curler no.73 and applied Cyber Colors Ex Volume Waterproof Mascara in Black (a separate review on this). Alternatively, you can use fake lashes.

 

The finished smoky eye look, with mascara-ed lashes.

Dramatic Veil (Bright Up) Face Powder, to set the foundation. Jill Stuart Mix Blush Compact 10 Sweet Biscuit, layered above the MUFE HD Blush #8 PDA. Chanel Aqualumière Gloss 66 Freeze - for glossy nude lips.

The primary focus will be on the eyes (:

My LOTD for the Kanebo Freshel Bloggers' Event.

For this LOTD, I'd used only the eyeshadows from the Majolica Majorca Midnight Dresser Palette #11 Glamorous Makeup Dresser (Ltd Ed X'mas 2009). Had gotten this during the Shiseido Sale last year for $5 (?). I wasn't impressed with the cardboard packaging and definitely would not wanna pay full price for it. I do appreciate that the ltd ed collection palettes (in future) will have better sturdier packaging. The shimmery silver and charcoal grey e/s colors are rather sheer and they crease on me (as shown above). FYI, I didn't use any primer prior e/s application.

Notice the red bits? Well, the red was not super obvious kind coz I layered red mascara over Dolly Wink Volume Mascara.

I'm pretty sure that the red will be super obvious over Majolica Majorca Lash Bone White Fiber.

You must be wondering what red mascara I'm talking about, yes? I didn't get it when it was launched last year. I only got it this year and I just knew I had to get my hands on it. Btw it's limited edition, maybe that explains why?

A lil' review for now:

Red is definitely a unique color and not as widely-used as black or brown of coz. It is not easy to find a red mascara IMO. Correct me if I'm wrong. I was bent on getting this MJ mascara and the only place which still had stock was NAC Watsons. I bought it at full price, no discount whatsoever coz it's limited edition. There was about 2 or 3 left (can't remember) after I got mine. I love how the red makes my eyes 'POP'; more 'awake' somehow. My lashes do look kinda spidery due to the mascara fibers. BUT that doesn't really bother me much, since no one will stand THAT close enough to see that. The mascara fibers did add some length to my lashes and I ain't complaining :p Easy to remove as well, with cleansing oil of coz! I'll layer this on top of MJ Lash Bone White Fiber next time to see the RED effect. ♥x♥

Marina Bay Sands (MBS), here I come !

Last last friday, I attended Secretive's "Diamond Sparkle VIP Party" together with Ryna and Jessie.

Inside MBS. We were at Tower One btw.

The bathroom is HUMONGOUS ! I literally gasped when I saw the bathroom (X

Now, you know what I mean by HUMONGOUS ? There's a bathtub as well ! The size of the bathroom bigger than the hotel room I stayed in HK =.=

Hmm I didn't really try out much of the products. Later you'll know why x: I caught a whiff of ElishaCoy Milk Cacao Black Sugar Scrub and the cacao smell was very distinct indeed. An uncanny resemblance to Nutella XD

Tried the ElishaCoy BB All-In-One Cleanser as well. It foams well and I love the hint of floral scent.

My OOTD. Diamond/Sparkle is the theme.

The makeup vanity case filled with goodies.

And, we were told to choose one ! *Happy* So hard to choose ! *Confused*

Sometime back, I was tagged by poutylips09 to list out my top 6 lip products. So here I am, sharing with y'all my favourites (as of now). Not in order of preference btw.

ZA Plumper Lips 01 Ruby Dazzle. I'm glad that I bought this new ZA lippy (@ Watsons) as I love it so much ! First of all, the price is wallet-friendly (sets you back @ just $13.90). Next, the lippy is moisturizing for my dry lips as it contains fill-up collagen. What I love most about this lippy is that it makes my lips look plumper & fuller (plump-up pearl) ! The lipstick color looks quite richly pigmented (from the tube itself) but when applied on lips, the finish is rich yet natural. It is perfect for those who prefer natural-looking lip colors. Easy to apply, and it helps that the lippy shape fits my lips pretty well. The texture is buttery, and it literally glides on my lips without tugging 'em (: No stickiness whatsoever, just pure comfort !

As you can see, there's not much visible lip lines and that my lips look smooth and oh-so-kissable (LOL). Oh ya, I love the ruby color as well as the colorful micro-shimmers. Mauvish kind of color. It's so me, I like ! The pretty pink sleek packaging is an added bonus, definitely :D Now, I'm lemming to get other colors ! Try it and you'll know what I mean :p

I bought this as well, Beauty Credit Nail Polish. To me, it seems to be holographic ? Pretty blue, isn't it ?

Muji Blushers I bought from Muji Ion. I guess only that oulet has the makeup section ? I don't see 'em @ other outlets. Do correct me if I'm wrong (: The pink one with swirls, is more pigmented. The shimmery orangey one is more for highlighting, not pigmented -.- The packaging does remind me of Shu Uemura, yes ?

Muji Eyeshadow Palette. I chose this neutral one and it was well pigmented for the low price tag ($13.90 I think). I did a LOTD using this sometime back, you may wanna take a look. There are other colors to choose from, eg. blue, green etc.

Urban Decay Nail Polish set I bought @ $25. I saw this selling @ $45 after I bought for a few days :D Now, I think it's sold out already ? Pretty value for $ for 7 nail polishes ! Less than $4 each ! All thanks to Iris (Rougedeluxe) for the heads up (:

Ardell Fake Human Lashes. I haven't tried this brand lashes before. Notice that the lash band is transparent ? Ooo hope this looks good on me :p

Yes Burt's Bees again. Lip Balm again. Nourishing sounds good. Mango butter sounds yummy :x The beeswax sounds interesting. Fantastic reasons to buy & try eh !

Hmm I bought this Sephora Smoothing Primer since it mattifies my skin well and make it smooth for foundation powder application. After hearing Chantana saying that it contains alot of parabens, I don't know if I should use it -_-" Ignorance is bliss, not ?

I just bought this so that I can use Sephora voucher to offset the purchase. Sephora nano pencil. I remember the color is dark steel gray if I'm not wrong :x Btw it's mini size, something like those GWP size you know. $9, not exactly cheap -.-

I bought this Kose Black Mask because of BOGO (Buy One Get One), shared with my lil' sis. I've been using this since many years ago and one tube can last for a long time :D It can remove the face impurities as well as fine facial hairs :p For more stubborn blackheads/whiteheads, nosepacks are still the best ! They work miracles !

Btw one tube is with the box packaging, one without. Hahas I'm so random XD~

Hmm BOGO also. Buy the Dejavu Fibrewig Extra (length) or the Lash Knockout (volume),and get the "old" Fibrewig free -.- All their mascaras are easily washed off using warm water.

Free full size skincare products given to me for.. *secret* Anyway, I've not seen this Korean skincare brand - C.A.D before. Hmm..

Garnier oil control whitening cream (free gentle clarifying foam, perfect fit & relax whitening mask) set. I bought this sometime back with Candy @ NAC Watsons.

Kracie Mask @ $1.95 each, that's why I bought @ Bedok Central Watsons ^^

Super regretful buy ! $9.90, so expensive though it's Darkness brand :/ Plaza Singapura John Little is selling for $5.90 only ! I can buy 2 of these :/

my hauls are never-ending, i know. it surely doesn't help that beauty brands are coming up with new products every now & then. i just bought MUFE lab shine lip glosses from a friendly MUA at Sephora Ion. i was there with Charlene btw, she bought a foundation. no pictures for now as i'm still trying to finish up this collective haul post for now. well, initially i met up with her just to get Guerlain Écrin 6 Couleurs palettes but sadly the ones we wanted to get were OOS due to its launch promo at CK Tangs. i think by the time the stock arrives, the promo will be over and surely $118 is not a price that i'll be willin g to fork out for the palette =_=" and, we reserved Urban Decay Naked palette ! i was told Urban Decay Book of Shadows 3 won't be coming to Singapore :c sad !! anyway, i had a great time shopping with her and she's taller than expected :p

ahh.. many happy things happened lately.. i participated in a hair color seminar hosted by Canada award winning colorist Rodica Hristu with Jones.. just attended Aqualabel workshop for the contest.. won Chantana's giveaway 牛爾 Robin Niu's Beauty Talk Workshop ticket (redberry, candy & jones also won) ! going for an exclusive bloggers' Kotex WOW party before that.. oh i went to a Shiseido Bio-Performance Super Corrective Serum workshop as i was one of the 100 ladies selected from 2000+ survey entries and received a full sized Shiseido Bio-Performance Super Corrective Serum :3 i'll be receiving Mojitate Kiajitsu & Deep Moist lipbalms from The Sample Store (formerly known as Fr3b) for review purposes.. this is not a recent haul.. i bought off soap&sorbet website & self-collected it with the highly-raved steam cream.. the le aluminium tin has a beautiful colorful butterfly motif, which is apparently oos now.. however there r other pretty collectible designs as well.. umm i haven't use the cream as yet :x i've jus used this love+toast sugar grapefruit hand creme & oh my the smell is sooo heavenly !! if u love fresh citrusy scent, u'll love it ! the texture is moisturizing & doesn't feel oily at all.. the downside is dat it's kind of small hence u'll finish this very fast i guess.. it retails for $19 btw (:
