on 21st August, i went for a beauty talkshow conducted by the very famous 牛爾老師 Niu Er in collaboration with Kosé Singapore. it was all thanks to Chantana's giveaway that i won, along with 4 other pretty ladies - Jones, Candy, Hazel and Christie. it was really a pleasant surprise for me since i entered only one comment :p guess i was really luck as Chantana mentioned that my number #6 (my favourite number btw) came out a couple of times ! anyway, i was really happy to meet Iris and Mag again, as well as Debx for the very 1st time (:

that day was definitely one of my happiest days in my life :3 *grins*

so what did i do to deserve a kiss from Niu Er ?

well, he asked us to guess his age (based on his looks) and i answered "20" :p

hmm so what is his actual age then ?

forty-three 43 !!

can you believe that he is that old ? he definitely look much younger, yes ?

well, it was not due to good genes that he look so youthful now. he shared with us how terrible his skin condition was when he was young and how he managed to improve his skin condition eventually. he strongly believe "只有懶人，沒有醜人" (there are only lazy people, no ugly people). very true indeed ! in fact, he spends at least 1-2 hours day and night for his skincare regime !

here are some helpful tips he shared.

it is good to consume white fungus (白木耳) soup with wolfberries ( 枸杞子) in the morning. super good for skin !

he encouraged us to eat more berries (strawberries, blueberries, cranberries, etc) as they are rich in antioxidants. he also mentioned that it is better to eat dried berries (higher concentration of antioxidants) as compared to fresh ones (high water content).

he recommended us to take Japanese ginseng instead of Korean and American ones (too heaty). these are for improving our blood circulation :D

this is a look that i don't usually do. hmm the bright blue, green & yellow is not work appropriate, more for a fun weekend look. i love this color combination and will love to experiment with bright colors instead of the boring neutrals & smokys (:

to complete this bright eye makeup look, i lined my eye using l'oreal 24hr super liner gel eyeliner. on the bottom lashline, i used etude house eye glow pencil 2 before using the gel eyeliner. as usual, i used sana new born lasting w brow LB3 for my brows. for lashes, i used helena rubinstein glorious mascara 01 star black as the base mascara and finish off with sasatinnie super dolly powerful curling mascara black using the combing action. a word of caution, please do not zig-zag the wand back and forth during application as you will end up with clumpy lashes. this applies for the sasatinnie mascara.

i used the eyeshadow colors from red earth limited edition eye lip cheek palette. i used laneige professional selection - shadow (essence) LR101 white pink to highlight the brow bone. not to forget, i used too faced shadow insurance as well.

overall look with a smile (:

hmm i used lavshuca creamy liquid foundation, followed by sephora oil free mattifying foundation to set the look. for a more radiant look, i brushed on shu uemura shimmer face powder.

1stly, i don't have flawless skin to begin with -,- 2ndly, i've pretty obvious dark circles -,- 3rdly, i don't have double eye-lid -,- SADDD..

fyi, i'm wearing colored lenses.. freshlook in turquoise (: i likeee.. my original eye color is black -,-

this is after applying foundation powder & concealer.. eyebrows done.. still look pale & sickly eh.. i can't live without eyeliner !! +_+

i created smoky eyes using pop beauty eye cake palette - darkness. the shades: electric blue, silver black, velvet plum, emerald green, and gunmetal.

 

for lips, i'm using the lip gloss from the kose esprique limited ed x'mas set 2009.. love the shimmer glossy finish (:

as above is the haul i've gotten.. not all for myself la :p i've gotten myself dhc blotting lotion & dhc acne whitening gel. now grab 'em at only $50 for 3 for the former & $80 for 3 for the latter.. dhc seldom have discount.. so yups ;) the rest are my lil sista's..

and, these r the samples i managed to get from the dhc rep.. frankly speaking, dhc reps standard r damn horrible.. as compared to fancl's.. 1 of the rep's skin was sooo bad.. i mean reali veryveryvery extremely bad kind.. patchy skin with too-white foundation.. acne scars r literally all over the face +_+ jus bcoz i had a breakout on my chin. she told me i could use dhc acne spot gel to clear the acne.. i told her i bought it already(which i reali did & like it pretty much).. i looked at her & was indeed not convinced that the products she recommend me r gd if i was new to dhc =,= anyways, she kinda ignore me & i jus proceeded on with looking at the dhc products.. another lady serve me.. at least her skin is average though on the matured side.. yea, she was the one who gave me the samples.. i love the salicylic acne wash & face milk samples as i've since used up 2 of them each.. with the help of them & the acne spot gel, my acne is cleared, finally ! it's damn annoying coz it's too bloody big & there's no way i could conceal it =,= i shall buy them when they r on sale :x hahas !

i've been lemming for this foundation powder for the longest time hahas ! finally i got this laneige sliding pact_ex(white plus renew) /bright skin tone 2 at $25 which is abt half the retail price i guess..

unique & effective multi functional pact provides natural coverage & luminous pearlescent complexion. excellent whitening cum long lasting uv protections.
the result: pure, matt, soft and luminant morning time makeup as it is. hope it's reali as awesome as it claims *cross fingers

this one also !! but only left one shade.. and, i bought it anyway :x laneige snow crystal dual foundation in deep beige 33.. for more dark medium skin tones.. umm i figure that i can jus use light tone loose powders over them so yups :x plus, it doesn't reali seem that dark afterall when i tested on.. my hand.. fyi, u r suppose to test on jawline for better accuracy.. oh wells..

this dual foundation has a concealer at the top and a foundation at the bottom. amazing, yes ! the foundation comprises the honey comb structure which conjuncts moisturizing ingredients and brings upon the cross linking complex – a complex that runs moisture like a cobweb, keeping moisture running all day. the result: imperfections like dark circles and blemishes are concealed and skin is kept moist and comfortable all day.

next up, is the laneige skin veil foundation in 21 natural beige.. more suitable for my skin tone.. can't wait to try all of 'em !!

laneige clear-c effector.. it's said to be a booster for transparent skin. to be applied after cleansing using cotton pad or ball every morning & night before skincare. it smells gd :x

laneige waterproof lip & eye makeup cleanser samples.. this dual layer cleanser and remover suits all skin types and effectively removes waterproof and heavy makeup on the lip and eye area.. i stil prefer maybelline or loreal ones.. or the expensive lancome one..

high perm curling mascaras.. i'm not reali liking 'em much yet.. hmm.. the world’s first disc rubber brush.. the brush is perfect for short stubborn lashes which refuse to curl as it comes with insuppressible curling power – curling lashes up to 70 degrees. jelly thickener wax enables lashes to stay flexible and soft while the fixed polymer enhances the mascara’s curling properties by curling and setting the perfect curl all day. umm.. i aint convinced yet..
