When K-Palette came out with the all-new 24H Real Lasting Eyepencil, I was thrilled. My favorite liquid eyeliner in pencil form.

It comes with a twist-open cap, which is not a common feature with pencil liners. I think it's a good feature since I've encountered pencil liners "uncapping" themselves in the makeup pouch, hence dirtying it. There are times when I forgot about this feature, and end up having a "tug-of-war" moment with the eye pencil... =.=

I like that it doesn't require sharpening but dislike the fact that such products deplete faster than those that do.

It glides on smoothly, without much tugging. The intensity of black, as you can see from the image above, is as black as charcoal.

Personally, I like to use it for tightlining.

To tightline, gently lift up your eyelid and line under the upper lashline. Do it as close to the lashes as possible to fill in the lash gaps. It gives the optical illusion of naturally bigger eyes and fuller lashes.

It doesn't really fade or flake. However, it does smudge a little (got onto my lower waterline), as shown from the image above. Other than that, it stays on pretty intact at the end of the day.

Today's post will be on K-Palette Zero Kuma Cover Control Concealer, which comes in 3 shades (01 Natural Beige, 02 Yellow Beige, 03 Orange Beige). I'll be talking about 01 Natural Beige, the moisturizing variant which conceals and hydrates all at once.

PS: I'll be reviewing the eyepencil next!

SOS! kuma (bear) to the rescue!

Bear-y cute right?! :D~

It comes in a plastic, see-through tube, a reminiscent of Lancôme Juicy Tube. The slanted edge tip allows you to dab directly on and blend it out in a patting motion. However, I still prefer to dab and blend with my middle/ring finger, as the warmth of my finger will aid in blending.

It has no scent at all. I like its creamy consistency in particular, not too thick, which doesn't cake under my eyes. It glides easily on the skin and conceals adequately well.

You can see how it brightens up the eye area naturally (my left eye pictured on the right). Looks so much awake yea?

I also like that it can act as an overall concealer, on problem areas which need extra coverage. And, I just need to apply a light layer of powder after which.

Well, I have to say that K-Palette Zero Kuma Cover Control Concealer is definitely worth the hype. Once I'm done with this, I'll be getting 02 Yellow Beige (meant for brightening).

In the past, I only use my trusty fingers to apply liquid foundation. Well, I still use this method, but not as often now. When I want a more flawless finish, I'll reach out for Sigma F80, a super awesome brush by the way.

I've been using this for a couple of times, to apply liquid foundation. And... I'm lovin' it! ♥

The pointed end of the sponge makes it easier for me to reach the smaller areas of the face - around the nose and mouth, under the eyes.

Fyi, it can also be used for achieving dramatic results with eyeshadow... sounds interesting eh? heh. I haven't tried for myself though :D

The round base is meant to be used on the larger areas of the face - forehead, cheeks and chin. Its lack of edges eliminates streaks, allowing for a perfect makeup application every time.

beautyblender® is 100% latex-free, odorless and hypoallergenic. With proper maintenance, the makeup sponge should last 4 to 6 months.

beautyblender® can be used with all types of makeup, including loose powder and mineral makeup. It can also be used wet or dry BUT... the BEST results are achieved when used WET.

When wet, it becomes bloated to almost twice its original size! SO CUTE~

When it air dries, it goes back to its normal size.

 

How to use?

Dampen beautyblender® and towel dry to remove excess water before use. Using the stippling technique, I 'bounce' the sponge with liquid foundation up and down onto the skin (I like how soft it feels on the skin!). This ensures that the liquid foundation is applied evenly onto the skin, deposits and blends the base makeup all at once.

I apply a light layer, building coverage when needed. To conceal skin imperfections, I simply stipple and twist over 'em.

I find that when used with liquid foundation with thinner consistency, a lot of product gets soaked up by the sponge. Hence, I'll dot the product on the forehead, cheeks, chin and nose first, then proceed with the stippling technique. I think it'll work better with liquid foundations of slightly thicker consistency.

I'm currently using Daiso detergent to cleanse it after every use. Not bad, in my opinion. Do note that the color does bleed a little with every wash. For better cleansing power, the blendercleanser® is definitely highly recommended.

 

This is just a thin layer of liquid foundation. The almost airbrushed finish WOW-ed me upon the 1st use. I never knew this cute lil' egg can actually make such a significant difference!

I love how it leaves my base makeup looking smooth, even and naturally flawless. No unsightly streaks or uneven patches at all. Amazing!

100% streak-free! No cakiness too!

Lou-Lou the cat belongs to Matthilde’s crosspatch auntie.

She stares out into a beautiful autumn sky as Matthilde escapes her aunt’s scolding to enjoy the evening.

Contains 75g of product.

A slightly off-white colored cream, with a distinct lavender scent. I am not a fan of lavender. The scent lingers on for a while, after application.

The cream looks somewhat like almond paste. It has a light and velvety texture, which feels slightly rich on the skin. Doesn't take long to be absorbed into the skin. I like that it leaves a nicely moisturized feel sans stickiness/greasiness.

Personally, I like to use this cream for my super dry legs. Thankfully, it doesn't cause any irritation. The skin condition of my legs has slightly improved so far. Not as dry and don't itch as much as before. That's a good thing, coz I don't have the urge to scratch (until they bleed) anymore. All in all, I think the only thing I don't really fancy is the lavender scent.

Luckily Chantana know the way. It was a rather long walk from Bugis MRT station. And, we arrived at the same time as Elfaine.. :D

We were here to attend K-Palette EYES ON YOU Beauty Blogger Workshop! Excited much!

Japalang simply means a mixture of anything everything.

 

 

Now, on to the HIGHLIGHT of this event..

Before the makeup demo, Mariko-san was illustrating the 2 different looks that she would be doing on the model (Cool vs Kawaii).

She was doing the Cool Look on the right side of model's face.

See the difference?

FYI, she used different eyelashes for respective looks.

See the "bottom lashes"? They were actually drawn on! Using the award-winning K-Palette Real Lasting 24h Eyeliner! Prior to this event, I did try to draw "bottom lashes" for myself and actually like how it makes my eyes appear bigger. It does take some practice to draw naturally for sure.

As you can see from the photo, the eyelashes on the left Kawaii Look are fuller than the right Cool Look. Kawaii Look has more shimmers than colors.

To recreate the Cool & Kawaii looks:

COOL LOOK

Use K-Palette Real Lasting 24h Eyeliner (Black) to line the upper lashline (slight winged tip) and the bottom lashline. It is A MUST to line the inner rims of the eyes for that Cool Look. Not easy. I've tried this before and I think it look kinda weird on me.. *sigh* Must try again! Practice makes perfect!

To fill the brows, use the powder side of K-palette 2-Way Eyebrow Liner (Black). The liquid side is to define the brow tail. The Cool Look has a more prominent arch.

To complete the look, put on fake lashes and draw "bottom lashes" using K-Palette Real Lasting 24h Eyeliner (Black).

 

KAWAII LOOK

Use K-Palette Real Lasting 24h Eyeliner (Black) to line the upper lashline with a droopy tip (beyond the eye corner). Puppy eyes for that oh-so-innocent look.. :p

As for the bottom lashline, use K-Palette Real Lasting 24h Eyeliner (Brown) for a softer look. Line it all the way to meet the droopy tip. Fill up the area in-between with brown eyeshadow.

Fill the brows using K-palette 2-Way Eyebrow Liner. The brow arch is softer, to complement the puppy eyes.

To complete the look, put on fuller fake lashes and draw "bottom lashes" using K-Palette Real Lasting 24h Eyeliner (Black).

 

Note:

Do apply the eyeliner as close as possible to the upper lashline AND apply it on the inner lashline as well. This will actually help your eyes appear bigger and livelier!

Testing the K-palette 2-Way Eyebrow Liner 01 Chocolate Brown. The two lines are drawn using the liquid side, while the brown patch is the powder side. The brow powder has pretty micro-shimmers in it.

I had really light makeup on that day. Just Kanebo Freshel White C W Cream UV, K-Palette Real Lasting Eyebrow Liner 24h (Natural Brown), KATE Eyebrow Color LB-1, eyeliner and blusher. Woke up late =.= No time for elaborate makeup. And, I was havin' a bad skin day.

Food finally arrived!

The cream of mushroom soup taste good though it's not served hot. The garlic bread stick is very salty.. :s

Chantana's rosemary grilled chicken. I totally regret not having this! Sooo niceee! The chicken meat is so juicy and tender yet the skin is crispy. *drool*

My pan fried dory fish. It doesn't taste fantastic, just okay. I didn't like the potatoes coz they taste sweet??

And, guess what? When I told Chantana I like the chicken more than the fish, she said she like the fish more...... We could have exchanged =.=

Bread butter pudding with vanilla ice cream. The sweetness was just right. A nice dessert to end the meal with.. :d~

It was an insightful event (very well-organized), where I got to learn various makeup techniques from the Japanese MUAs and get to know more about K-Palette (Japalang Pte Ltd). Am elated to have attended this event, many thanks to The Sample Store (as always) and K-Palette (Japalang Pte Ltd) for the invitation!
