    $50 x 25 = $1250

    I'm totally intrigued by 122!!

    Why so??

    LIU is my surname!!

    Pretty red, isn't it?! o.o

    Hahas I'm biased like that!

    165 Champs-Elysees! I like this also! Saw Temptalia's review and I was like W-O-W!!

    Super gorgeous raspberry pink-red!

Looks like a weapon yea :x

A weapon of seduction that is.

My blog ain't complete w/o camwhore photos :p

    Credits to: Chantana

Chicken breast meat with red pepper. Dunno what's the sauce though. Tasted ok but I prefer thigh meat :x

Salmon cheese tart? The creamy cheese taste was so strong that I couldn't even taste the salmon!

And of coz, photo-taking with Trey!

Ever so friendly and easy-going. It was really nice knowing him (:

    Jones and Trey :D

An introduction talk by Maxime Poulin (Guerlain Makeup Artist from Paris).

Here's Trey talking about fashion (bright colors). He looked so serious :x He IS.

This lucky lady won a makeover by Maxime Poulin AND Trey Wong! Her "Before" photo.

In the midst of makeover. Top-notch makeup skills, I must say!

    The final look!

What a great difference! Even her three kids thought so. They looked so excited to witness the change in their mummy's look!

Sidetrack: I love this.. BUT.. look kinda painful eh.. See the plasters :s

    Makeup demo time!

It's important to start with clean sanitized hands.. Hygiene is important!

Shall let the photos do the talking.

The sultry smoky makeup look. Me like!

    Group shot

Spot Michelle, Minru, Kimberley, Vivian.. :D

    SWATCH-FEST!

    121 and 122 swapped.

Chill-out @ Coffee Club. The service was exceptionally BAD!

Jones and I had Iced Cappuccino. So-so.

Chantana's Iced Latte, which tasted bad according to her.

    Joyce's Iced Mocha (I think).

After food and drinks, what's left of 122 LIU is the stained red lips look on me. Nice? To me, nice (:

    Goodie bag + 1-item haul

Purposely let y'all see the price tag :x

20% off btw. That's $40 for "my surname" lippy

The one (without price tag) is gifted to me - 105 Vol de Nuit.

Can see the not-so-clear red arrow pointing downwards? Push to open..

    Cool mechanism right?

Taken with iPhone. Not too bad huh.

122 LIU is more of a cool pinkish (strong) red. Think strawberry. The yellow lighting does distort the true color to an extent >.< It has a nice-smelling rose scent which doesn't lingers. The lippy feels extremely lightweight and moisturizing on my lips. Feels so comfy! This reminds me of the MUFE lipstick I've. Of coz Guerlain's looks/feels much more moisturizing than MUFE's. All in all, I love Guerlain's lippies!

Oh.. I got this pretty fuschia pink bracelet after a lip consultation (which I did "my own consultation" afterall xD). And, it led me to purchasing "my surname" lippy!

The salesgirl was nice enough to give me makeup samples. I wanted to try the liquid foundation but she said don't have -.-

Okay la. I've this to try - Guerlain Parure Pearly White The New Compact Foundation. Enough for 1-time application I think. Hmm......

That's all for the super photo-intensive post. I'm dead tired after editing the photos and typing (just for this post!)...... Gosh.. Look at the many hours spent...... Thanks for reading/looking. xoxo

    Snippets of My Life ♥

    05May11

    This will be a rather lengthy photo-intensive post about random stuff which are not makeup-related. It'll be a nice break from the usual beauty topics (I truly hope so). Mostly about things I love. If you read my earlier non mu-related posts, you should know what follows next (;

Quick lunch with my gf (Serene) @ Coffee Club (Raffles Place). She had Skipper's Delight Penne, drenched in robust lobster sauce. It tasted quite alright initially but one gets sick of the sauce easily IMO.

I had the Lobster Bisque Baked Rice, which comes with ONLY 2 half-shelled diver scallops. The serving is just right if you are not that hungry. Every mouthful is flavorful albeit the slight oiliness.

    Hmm puny size scallops......

A mini tea-break with colleagues @ Secret Recipe (Plaza Singapura). Service was really bad as they waited for their order of just fried chicken wings for more than 30mins. They ordered at different timings somemore. No sincere aplogies or whatsoever.

My cup of cappuccino, which tasted so-so. I quite like the carrot cake though. However, I still prefer Coffee Bean's (:

The Manhattan Fish Market had the most jaw-dropping deal ever on 1st of April. Yes, April Fool's Day but it was no joke. $3.99++ for Fish & Chips! There was already a long queue forming outside when we arrived in the evening. On a happier note, we didn't wait that long :D

The $3.99++ Fish & Chips look nothing like the one shown on the menu, or the usual ones @ normal price. Soft drinks were @ $1++ for a small cup. The usual chilli, garlic and tartar sauces weren't provided. In place of 'em was the conventional chilli sauce you find at western restaurants. What you pay is what you get.

The taste was much oilier than usual, prolly b'coz they were using the same oil to fry over and over again. But still, the taste was still acceptable.

The letdown was THIS! It was ala carte item, not on special offer. The taste was horrible! Very oily and tasteless. Only the fried mushrooms were good full-stop! The fried calamari was tiny and the tecture was like chewing gum :/ This cost about the price of $3.99++ Fish & Chips x2? Look at the presentation of the fried platter. Fail much, seriously. What's with the fugly cabbages? *faints*

After the not so satisfied dinner, we went for our mini gathering. Some of 'em couldn't make it that night. It's ok, we still had lotsa fun anyway.

Me, the only short hair among the long-hairs.

My makeup was super minimal that day. Just face powder + eyebrow + blusher.

    Best photo taken that night, coz it's taken by yours truly heh (;

Downed 2 bottles of Martell. And, I finally got to sing KTV! That night, the pub was full house and I had to wait for ages for my turn to sing *pouts* So many youngsters, we seriously feel so old being there hahas! Then it was home sweet home, with hangover the next day >.<

Dinner with bro at kopitiam, near our home. Simple Chinese-style mee goreng.

Yummy sweet & sour pork, though the quantity was too little for $8.

Disappointing hot plate egg tofu. No veges and too little egg(s). The egg tofu didn't taste good at all :/

Dinner with sis at Porn's (Liang Seah Street). Look at the ridiculous layer of oil! We scooped the oil out before eating :s Tasted quite good actually.

The pineapple rice was too dry. The one @ Thai Express taste way much better! Thumbs down for this :/

This was my iced roselle tea (I think). Refreshing drink!

Disappointing seafood tom yum in hot pot. The ingredients not that fresh.

Her Thai iced milk tea. I think I much prefer my drink. Overall, quite disappointing for the price paid. Per pax was nearly $25. Not worth it. Gimme Thai Express anytime.

1st "overseas" trip with Chantana, Jones.. and Jones's family :D We went to the nearest.. Johor Bahru! xD

We met up very early in the morning @ Bugis, about 9plus. Had Ya Kun toast, coffee and eggs for breakfast. Me & Chantana couldn't resist the delicious-looking soft-boiled eggs at all :p That was our official 1st meal of the day. More to come :x

And so, when we reached JB, we went in search of food again. Early lunchie?

Ngor hiang, ordered by Jones's bro and gf. I'm not a big fan of these. Taste rather salty.

My iced milk coffee+tea aka yuan yang and Chantana's iced coke float.

We both ordered soya sauce chicken noodles (drumstick!). Didn't take much photos that day.

In between, we went shopping! There was sales going on @ Etude House and The Face Shop. We bought a fair bit at the former, while Jones bought a face mist spray at the latter. She's a face mist spray fanatic :D We also bought a few items at Nature Republic. By paying $10 ringgit for life-time membership, you get 10% off on regular items. The prices are already much cheaper as compared to S'pore. You do the math :D

After shopping for hours, our dinner was settled @ Kim Gary.

My iced mango drink. Actually taste not bad but the mango bits too sour :s

Chantana's iced strawberry drink. Sweetness overload.

Jones's beef fried rice with sunny side-up (the egg so tempting eh!).

Aiyo disappointing! The fries with minced beef sauce taste so bland can :/ The beef sauce given was damn pathetic. The one I had in S'pore was far better!

Another disappointment, both ordered by yours truly :/ The size of these fried popcorn fish was half the size of S'pore ones. The taste was blah. Nuff' said.

Chantana's pork cutlet pasta with tomatoes. Yummy! The meat was pretty tender and the tomatoes were fresh. Didn't like the pasta noodles though.

We reached S'pore at around 7plus? Forgot already. Anyway, we went walk walk for a bit. And, our last stop was The Canteen (Shaw Centre). Yes, EAT AGAIN. It was an intensive walking, eating, shopping day indeed!

I shared the sausages with mashed potato with Chantana. We also ordered the apple crumble with ice-cream to share, which I forgot to take photo of >.<

Jones, pork lover, ordered bak kut teh :3

Quite a generous serving portion, and the soup was really good (at least to me) :d~ The meat was quite tender as well. Thumbs up definitely!

Fun lovin' day Can't wait for the next outing with 'em! ^^

My sis' netbook was spoilt and so, me and bro accompanied her to Sim Lim Square to get a new laptop. She is very choosy.

    Her needs:

    • PINK
    • High Definition Webcam

In the end, she got a Dell laptop, as my bro said it was value-for-$ blablabla. After the long purchase, she couldn't stop comparing it with Mac Air :/ Using it for basic needs only what.. DOTS..

By then, I was super famished. We walked over to Cuppage Plaza and had dinner at this small eatery.

    Her deliberately closed-eyes.. o.o

Better photo. The lighting wasn't that good, so yups.

Fried gyoza abit oily but tasty.

    Vinegar plus chili oil.

Super value meal of the day.

    *drool*

    The serving portion seriously big!

Oops forgot the name of the ramen-s :x Very yummy!

    My spicy ramen :d~

    Random photos' time :D

OOTD. My favorite dress and the long grey cardigan is from BYSI. Cheap but nice grey snake-print belt from FEP. U.R.S & inc. strapped heels.

Snap a photo @ KATE event.

A steamboat buffet treat from my colleague. Thanks Voyce!

The ingredients there are fresh and I simply love the soup base. Located at Liang Seah Street, across Shaw Tower.

Coffee Bean's Spring Peach Tea Latte while at work. Sad to say, I dislike the overly milky taste.

My first time buying Sticky's candies! They are handmade and can be customized too (for big orders). And I got myself Kiwi Rock and Pink Grapefruit Rock flavors

Both taste good (of coz)! I'm not really a big fan of candies, but these for sure brightens up my day (:

    Life will be boring without eye-candies, don't ya think so (at least to me lol)? Yes, I love these type of "candies", good for the eyes hahas (;

It was a random day of insomnia, when I suddenly thought of this ex-actor Shen Hui Hao 沈晖豪. I think he should be in in late 30s now? Or early 40s? I know not. I'd seen him acting when I was very young (prolly primary school days) :x Not bad looking eh.

And, I stumbled upon this movie online "Koizora (Sky of Love)". A watchable movie, I would say. Simple storyline, and a tearful one.

Featuring Haruma Miura and Yui Aragaki.

    Kawaii-neh!~

    *MELT*

And no, I didn't forget about Hyun Bin! heh.

    Woohoo! Handsomeeeeee!

    *GASP*

Oh, did I not mention I like Britney Spears?

Here's a super pretty photo of her (:

Ahhh.. Favoritest! So adorable right? Saw this photo which my colleague shared on FB and my first thought was that she's oh-so-cute! Agree much?

    Flashbacks of 2010

    06Jan11

The very last flashbacks of 2010 (hauls not included). By now, you should know very well that my love for food is comparable to that of makeup *winks*

This is definitely long overdue-d (to the max) LOL xD

See what I mean ? My hair was still relatively "long" then. Oh btw, that's a cinnamon stick, used for flavoring hot beverages. Hmm I had cappuccino I think.

    Yours truly and Jessie.

We were at Coffee Club (Clarke Quay). It was a Wednesday night but look, so empty !

Her chamomile tea, which I don't like at all. Dislike the smell and taste s:

On the very day I cut my hair short short.

AL & ALICIA Spring, Summer 2011 Private Party (The Gallery, Old School 11B Mount Sophia). That's me and Ryna.

    A better shot ?

    Group shot.

    Fashion parade.

There was free flow Tiger beer, snacks and Gusttimo Di Roma ice-cream ! The cream cheese flavor is seriously awesome ! A die-die must try ! Go try at Ion Orchard (:

Jessie introduced me to this new place for dim sum, located at Orchard Central.

Victoria Peak Chinese Cuisine#11-01/02 Orchard Central. We went there slightly before lunchtime, so there was only one table occupied.

These tables were fully occupied at lunchtime.

    Glutton time x:

Har Gow (Steamed Prawn Dumplings). Not bad.

Char Siew Pau (BBQ Pork Buns). Normal, I prefer Imperial Treasure's.

Steamed Pork Ribs. Too much fats, but taste good.

Chicken Feet, my favorite ! Super tasty !

    Carrot Cake. Normal, IMO.

Siew Mai (Pork Dumplings). Prefer Imperial Treasure's, again.

Imperial Treasure's Scallop Chee Cheong Fun (Rice Noodle Roll) seriously better !

Egg Tarts, which taste good ! Too tiny =.= Bite-sized.

    Looks normal.

Freaking awesome Nai Huang Pau (Custard Buns) !

Yeah it's their anniversary, 30% discount ! Decent price for dim sum ! Imperial Treasure, still my favorite :p

    A random day.

    Camera pouch, bought at Takashimaya.

Jessie won a pair of tickets to Female 50 Gorgeous People Party 2010. One word, boring.

We ordered Crispy FISH Popcorn at Kim Gary Restaurant (Tampines One).

Her Chinese Tea and my over-milky Yuan Yang (Coffee+Tea) >;/

I love sunny side-up and fried luncheon meat ! That's instant noodles soup btw.

This is seriously super duper good ! I'll order chicken next time, pork next next time :p

Her Shanghai Noodles with Pork and Szechuan Veggies.

We left before the Female 50 Gorgeous People Party 2010 ended.

Winners: Terence Tan (Female's Most Gorgeous Male) and Wong Yu Lan (Female's Most Gorgeous Female).

Damn hungry by then. We settled lunch at Bao Today.

Big glasses of Ice Lemon Tea, tasteless =.=

Both of us had XO Sauce Noodle Dry. Yes instant noodles again, with fried luncheon meat and sunny side-up. Very normal.

The complimentary Mango Pudding, not nice at all.

Coffee fix is a must ! Ah Mei Café (Paragon).

Her usual Teh O, and my Kopi O.

    The End.

    Simple pleasures in Life.

    01Jan11

Goodbye 2010, Happy 2011 ! No New Year resolutions whatsoever. "When you expect something to happen, it just don't. Life surprises you just like that."

I'm one who's somewhat reserved. However, once I warmed up and feels comfortable with you, I can literally talk non-stop (vice versa). In 2010, I'd my fair share of ups and downs. It was also the year I started beauty-blogging at OnSugar. Yes, I encountered both really nice and the not-so-nice peeps. From my reads, I gather that almost all met amazing people thru' OnSugar. How true is that ? I wonder. No, I ain't eating sour grapes. Umm it's like, so seemingly perfect ?

    Ok, 'nuff said.

I finally got the chance to go to this place for Peranakan cuisine, thanks to Jessie (and bf)'s recommendation. Ivins Ivins is located at Bukit Timah area, super far from where I stay. Price-wise is affordable. The totall bill came up to be $30.

And so, they proceeded to order their usuals.

Meatball soup with bamboo shoots. Thumbs up for the soup and bamboo shoots. I'm not a fan of meatballs and they ain't as juicy as I would like 'em to be. I love the soup the most, the taste is just right. You've to try to know (; The bamboo shoots are cooked just right, nice and easy to eat. Pardon my lack of words to describe =.= It's just very delicious !

Ayam rendang. Not bad, not too coconut-ty and not spicy as well.  Will be MUCH better if they include drumstick instead of chicken breast meat. Yes, I don't like to eat chicken breast meat :/

Fried marinated ayam. PLUS points coz not chicken breast meat :p Not too oily. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside.

Fried chye poh omelette. This is super salty max ! Wrong order, should have ordered Furong omelette :/ Thumbs DOWN.

Sambal kangkong. Average, nothing special much.

Tiny bowl of chendol. $1.20, can't say much also. Average taste, the shaved ice not smooth enough.

Hmm I'll only go back if someone is driving coz it's TOO FAR.

    :

    :

    :

    Yes, my lovely gf (:

We were at Xin Wang Taiwan Café (SCAPE). Both of us had Ru Rou Fan (Taiwanese Stewed Pork Rice).

Yummy max ! Love the salted veggies too :d~

Tiny sides coz I ordered a set which comes with drink as well. Guo tie (pan fried meat dumplings).

    Eh beansprouts and ikan bilis.

My bubble milk tea, not the usual bubble milk tea taste. In fact, it's those HK style milk tea taste =.= Cheat my feelings ! My gf had hot barley coz of sore throat.

    :

    :

    :

A random meetup with Jessie and her friends. NYDC Wheelock Place for dinner. Jessie had Aglio Olio with bratwurst sausages.

My super creamy Carbonara. Not the best I had, definitely.

    Her friend's "Cookie Monster" mudpie.

"grandma goes nuts, seriously!" mudpie shared by me and Jessie.

    :

    :

    :

Random dessert treat by Jessie's bf at Coffee Club (Haborfront Center). Raspberry Chocolate Symphony.

Oh Ah Mee Sua (Oyster Vermicelli) and Ru Rou Fan (Taiwanese Stewed Pork Rice) from Xiao Bar Wang (Orchard Ion).

    :

    :

    :

Attended my colleague's wedding dinner in Dec last year. She's 2 years younger and already married. I'm still very single =.=

    Solemnization ceremony in process.

I love kids ! Play with 'em that is (; The boy is very cuteee, I likeee !

V54 and G79. Photo spoiler in pink :/

Yeah, my favorite boy of the night x:

We took turns to camwhore hahas Xp

Somewhat awkward pose BUT my legs did appear slim and slender. Yes, illusion indeed T^T

    Hmm.. nothing to say much..

My eye makeup was va-va-voom (in person), which made my eyes appear super big. Well, the flashlight washed out my makeup.

    Candid shot, indeed =.=

I like this, coz my gf so cute x:

    Dark chocolates, I think they're semi-sweet.

    We were eating in "darkness".

She wanna camwhore too :p The jacket she borrowed super big for her.

    ALL mine x:

My Humble House (Esplanade), under TungLok Group.

The only photo I took coz my battery flat :/ The food was AMAZING, much better than those held at hotels, SERIOUSLY. Food was served individually, thoughtful much.

Shall end the post with my favorite photos of the night.

A beautiful photo of us (my favorite boy of the night, me, gf and bride)

Of Food, Chill-out, Camwhore & LOTD: Flamboyant Smoke Siren

    22Sep10

this was my eye makeup i did @ L'oreal HIP Bloggers Party Event, using the HIP testers provided :D oh, this picture was taken about 12 hours later after the event ended. my eye makeup still looks pretty fine yea :p i didn't really touch up much, can y'all believe it ? i was too amazed !

pardon my bloodshot eyes -.- i wasn't feeling well that day, due to drinking water drank by my 2 "lovely" colleagues - Mr NL & Mr PRQ !! a fantastic combination of cold + sore throat T^T

    fyi, i didn't use a eye primer.

as seen, there was creasing at the outer corner of the eye area. inevitable i guess, since i was out for more than 12 hours. other than that, i was quite pleased with the color payoff and intensity of the shadow duos as well as eyeliners.

    my full chubby face T^T

    eyes:

    • Black Shock & Violet Volt HIP Color Chrome Eyeliners (L'oreal)
    • Flamboyant (Bright) & Platinum (Metallic) HIP Shadow Duos (L'oreal)
    • Kiss Me Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara

and so, Coffee club was the place we headed to chill after the party event.

this was the earl grey scone set my sis ordered. umm i forgot to snap a picture of my peppermint scone set -.-

english breakfast tea, taste just like lipton tea :s

Chantana (sexy) & Jones (cool) were there too :p

    :

    :

    :

late night dinner/supper with my sis & her friend @ Clarke Quay after watching a horrible movie "DEVIL". pls DO NOT watch !

traumatizing moment of the night @ Clarke Quay ! we were approached by 2 lusty-looking men (chinese, mid 30s in office attires) and they asked if they could join us for drinks or whatsoever =_=" i nearly want to faint, seriously. i wonder where they got the courage to approach us or did they think we were some young blur girls they could take advantage of ! >;/ there were another 2 (chinese, indian, mid 30s in office attires) at the back, looking sheepishly at us. i, being the oldest just replied, "no, it's ok." i turned around & walked the opposite direction after telling the girls to find another place to have our dinner/supper !

we settled at this restaurant, called Hot Stones. there was a midnight promotion going on, 50% off their hot stone main courses.

the hot stone xD we are supposed to cook our food on it.

black angus beef sirloin steak $48 before discount.

seafood deluxe set (scallops, king prawn, salmon steak) $38 before discount.

both comes with salad (not nice).

can choose a side as well for each set (potato wedges/garlic rice/mashed potato).

hmm, so we chose potato wedges and garlic rice. overall, i find the food to be quite tasty actually BUT if no 50% discount, i definitely won't visit again because it's too expensive for such small food portions !

after which, the girls wanted sheesha (i've absolutely no interest at all).

    this is my lil' sis.

hmm i look like i can doze off at any moment =.=

2am i think. still so many people.

    many many people actually.

camwhore alert ! WARNING: DO NOT scroll down !

    i don't wish to grow OLD ..
