Last last Saturday, I attended LEADERS InSolution Masks Launch Event‏. This bloggers event was held @ Raindrops Cafe. Thanks Elfaine (The Sample Store) and Cossy for the lovely invite!

From 1st March 2012 onwards (tomorrow!), LEADERS InSolution Masks will be officially launched in Watsons.

We were given a brief introduction on LEADERS InSolution Masks, followed by a mask demo.

The model-of-the-day (Yi Jing) had one side of her face mask-ed with LEADERS InSolution Mask, and the other with Brand X. Do you know which is which?

LEADERS InSolution Mask is an ultra fine & thin silk cellulose mask sheet which adheres to the skin snugly, whereas Brand X is a normal cotton mask sheet which threatens to fall off any minute (true enough, it kept falling off throughout). The former is soaked with tons of highly concentrated essence. Mask review time...

My pick -- Aloe Soothing Skin Renewal Mask, which provides skin hydration, skin soothing, helps calm & balance irritated skin.

It has a faint floral scent. The mask material is soft yet not flimsy. One thing for sure, it doesn't tear easily.

The left-over essence in the sachet is enough for me to apply for both legs and arms. Now, they feel so soft and smooth to touch. The consistency is runny, and feels kinda sticky. The stickiness dissipates when the essence gets fully absorbed into skin.

You can see now why I pick this mask. See the redness on my skin? I did some light extraction at the nose area. Well, my skin gets red very easily coz it's very thin and sensitive.

Having tried so many masks so far, this mask does adhere to my face contours quite well. The mask sheet is thin enough for the redness on my skin to peek through. Not the thinnest but somehow I really like the material.

 

After leaving the mask on for 20mins...

I am WOW-ed by the efficacy of this mask -- thumbs up! *love x infinity*

Redness ALL GONE! It really does relieve skin stimulation fast with its aloe extract - skin soothed in just 20 mins.

Clear, hydrated skin... *happy max*

This is an ultra-soothing mask, which hydrates the skin well at the same time. If you're looking for an effective mask to soothe a sudden skin trouble or sensitive condition without stimulation, look no further. I'm sure you'll love this mask as much as I do.

It was a random look I did on a random night. I guess I was feeling kinda bored... So yea...

To even out my complexion, I use Ludifull Magic Cover BB Cream and L'egere Mineral Makeup Finishing Powder (to set).

The main greens are:- Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #22 Emerald Green & MAC Liquidlast Liner in Greenplay. The very intense-looking black is Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel Eyeliner #1 Black Ink. It literally looks like black ink, no?

I draw the usual wing-ed out look with Emerald Green, using a liner brush. Then, I layer on Greenplay. I line Black Ink as close to the lashline as possible. Cyber Colors Ex Volume Waterproof Mascara in Black for lush looking lashes. The black is so intense, I like! Mitchy matchy with Black Ink :D

I've incorporated SOTHYS [W.]™+ Brightening Preparative Lotion into my daily skincare routine (day & night) for 2 months. To test the efficacy of the product, I use it religiously for 2 weeks, then stop for 2 weeks (and so on).

A fuss-free (opaque) plastic cylindrical container.

How to use?

It doesn't feel greasy or sticky with aqua (water) being the main ingredient. It absorbs into the skin instantaneously, leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth to touch. My skin also looks slightly more radiant than before. So far, I'm liking this product as it does enhance the brightening and hydrating benefits of the skincare that I'm using. And, it doesn't cause me any skin irritations or breakouts.

A doll-lash look, achieved in a jiffy!

Apart from Lancôme Hypnôse Doll Eyes Mascara, the dolly-looking models had on eyeshadow colors from Ombré Absolue Impact 3D Palettes (A80 Baby Pop & F90 Baby Nu) respectively.

THE DOLL EYES look

I'd reviewed part of the Neogence ACE Revitalizing and Brightening Series HERE... and this post will be all about the mask! If you've been following me for a while, you should be well aware that I'm a mask fanatic. Mask-ing is an integral part of my skincare routine. I mask at least once a week, at most twice.

Neogence Ace Renewal & Repairing Mask is a special micro introducing mask which contains Rovisome® Ace Plus (revitalizing, anti-aging and whitening), Retinol, 3-O-Ethyl Ascorbic Acid, Matrixyl™ 3000, Hyaluronic Acid.

Results of using this mask?

• Enhancing skin elasticity and repairing
• Reducing fine lines and anti-aging.

 

Retails for $22.90. Each box contains 3pcs of mask (30ml).

The mask itself is very thin, and the material feels like cotton. The cotton fiber mask is wedged between a white plastic sheet and blue sheet (meant for ease of mask positioning). With the blue sheet, I find it real easy to place and position the thin mask (NOTE: without the use of a mirror)!

Fragrance-free; no scent detected at all. The mask is well-soaked with 30ml essence, with no left-over in the sachet.

How to use?

After unfolding the mask, remove the white plastic sheet. Place the mask onto face and make sure it fits snugly. Making use of the blue sheet, position the mask accordingly and peel it off across the face. Leave the mask on for 15-20 mins. No need to rinse off after removing mask.

The mask is so thin yet not fragile (doesn't tear easily). You can see my skin peeking through... and some red marks (mainly on the forehead).

The mask is a perfect fit for my face. Doesn't threaten to fall off while I'm multi-tasking.

It comes with eye flaps, which you can flip it up to mask your eye area (with your eyes closed of course).

I've used this mask once a week (last week and this week). No skin irritations experienced so far. No breakouts.

The essence has a fairly light texture, absorbs fast and doesn't leave the skin feeling sticky/greasy. I massaged the remaining essence instead of rinsing it off. After which, I apply Neogence Ace Revitalizing Hydrating Fluid.

Overall, I find the mask pretty soothing and moisturizing. My skin appears visibly plumped and radiant after removing the mask. I also noticed that my pores are minimized and laugh lines slightly reduced. Highly recommended for those who are looking for a good and affordable anti-aging mask.

The random post(s) are here to stay. Or so I thought. Blogging about non-beauty related stuff... and what's coming next for beauty-related posts (product mentions/reviews/events).

Some time ago, I found this beauty lying on the wet bathroom floor. For a moment, I thought it was dead. And luckily, I did the right thing by picking it up gently by its wings instead of washing it away. It was very much alive!

It didn't fly away, even when I touched it several times. Gave me ample time to get my camera to capture these shots.

"LOVE 爱" movie is one of the "now showing" movies in the cinemas. It's been a long time since I last saw Ethan Ruan on-screen. To be honest, I was quite "disturbed" by his current hair-style... *SAD* Mark Chao certainly looks better in the movie poster.

Anyone watch "LOVE 爱" yet?

These simple-decorated buttercream cakes spell - nostalgia... I used to dislike the taste of the saltish buttercream when I was young. Now, I obviously don't :d~

Watched "This Means War" with my sis. Thanks F*** Magazine for the premiere tix and mouse pad! We were laughing along with everyone else in the movie theatre throughout the show. Not as action-packed as I thought. Overall, it was a pretty watchable movie. By the way, Chris Pine & Tom Hardy look so much better in the movie as compared to the poster. Hmm... Reese Witherspoon was the opposite though.

My 1st time trying Share Tea... I still prefer Gong Cha! Very addicted to GC Oolong Milk Tea (House Special) ♥

To end off this random post, I received a goodie package (CandyDoll/Kameria/L'egere) from Jaslyn (M.O.S.S (S) Pte Ltd) last week (Thanks!). Will be featuring them in the upcoming posts.

My favorite $2 hauls from Nanairo - eyebrow mascara, black glitter eyeliner, mosaic blush. Best buys ever. These are also sold at Guardian Pharmacy/John Little at least $8, some >$10. What a rip-off!

Oh, another best buy from Watsons. Neutrogena Fine Fairness BB Cream UV 50% off = $10.95 *HAPPY MAX* Chantana bought this too. We've been wanting to try this for the longest time!

Skincare review again (within such a short time frame)? No-no. I'd been using Murad Hydro-Dynamic™ Ultimate Moisture before the Neogence Ace series (~3weeks)... And now, I'm back on this. I received it last year at its launch event... it's time for a proper review!

I agree that it has a uber-rich texture. I would say, pretty thick for Singapore's hot and humid climate. It's nothing greasy, much to my delight.

It does leave a slight film on the skin. Nothing too uncomfortable.

I layer it on, after serum.

Going on to the review... Murad Hydro-Dynamic™ Ultimate Moisture has a slight scent to it, which I can't quite put into words to describe. Anyway, it takes some time to absorb. Say 15mins? I wouldn't label it as "lightweight" definitely. Fyi, I wasn't too fond of this moisturizer initially, just so because I find the texture too rich for my combination skin (oily on the outside, dry on the inside). That is the reason why I only incorporate it in my night skincare routine. And, I try to apply just a thin layer, after serum. Despite that, I wake up with a somewhat "greasy-looking" face. It doesn't bother me much unless I use it in the day (which I don't). I do notice that my skin feels really soft and supple after washing up. So far, it doesn't clog pores or cause any irritations/breakouts. For me, it's great for overnight use. I wouldn't recommend it for day use unless your skin is very-very dry.

Overall, I do like how my skin looks visibly plumped up after few weeks of use. I would love it if the texture is much lighter, so I can use it in the day as well. The bottom line is, those with really dry skin will adore this much... AND esp. those living in countries with winter climate.
