Just celebrated my bro's birthday 2 days ago, at Itacho Sushi. Once again, "Happy 25th!" :D

My choice, a bad one. Overall, Itacho Sushi food standard was really bad. The 40-cents soya sauce salmon sushi (limited to 4pcs per person) was the saving grace of this overpriced meal. Sushi Tei will be a better choice, me thinks.

We had fun creating our very own eco-tune albeit the slow sound processing due to poor internet connection.

The event was held at Screening Room. Set lunch was provided. The starter (smoked salmon salad) and dessert (mixed berries parfait with fruit compote) were yummilicious! Hmm... the main course (red snapper shashlik) was very disappointing though.

I went home with these new products to try. As I'm blogging about this, I'm trying the Soft & Smooth Overnight/Heavy Flow Pad (32cm). So far so good. Soft and comfortable; no irritation/itchiness. Absolutely no leakage as promised.

Though the proactive guards will rise upon contact with fluid, I didn't feel any "lifting" sensation. That's normal, coz we're not supposed to feel anything anyway :D

I won a pair of "The Devil Inside" preview tickets via 8 Days Magazine giveaway (thanks!). I asked Chantana along since she loves watching movies. As for the movie, I wouldn't say it's a must-watch. Not that horrifying after all. Anyway, it ended rather abruptly yet silently. Everyone literally went "huh???"...

After the movie, we felt so hungry and had supper at Xin Wang HK Cafe (Orchard Cineleisure). A very bad choice indeed. The food standard dropped tremendously. The pork chop's texture was soft (not in a good way) -- tasted like fish. My chicken chop tasted weird too. The nice and edible ones were the fries, egg & tomato. Oh well, the yuan yang was good though. *SIGH* Never will I go there eat again... prolly only for drinks? :/

Simple dessert like iced cold cheng tng on an exceptionally hot day, makes my day! My favorite curry chicken noodles at Bedok Central Market...

In March & April, Maybelline will be having a series of new product launches. Not long ago, Maybelline organized a massive blogger/fan event for a first-hand experience on these new products.

The event was held at Covelli Italian Bistro & Wine Bar.

Besides introducing Maybelline's new products, there was a fashion runway show by Love, Bonito. It's a lil' different from usual... If you are observant enough, you will see the "glitch".

The purpose of the "makeup malfunction" (only one side with eye makeup), is to show how eye makeup can make one look visually attractive. The difference is apparent, not to the extent of drastic -- since the models are naturally pretty.

 

Maybelline UV B.B White

The new Maybelline UV B.B White has a high UV protection of SPF50 PA+++, perfect for those who are often outdoors or hanging by the beach.

The texture is similar to that of Maybelline B.B Cream -- not too thick. UV B.B White 02 Natural has yellow undertones, which looks kinda dark for my skintone. Hmm... I shall try it soon and let y'all know how the UV B.B White fares.

Comes in 01 Light and 02 Natural. Fyi, this is already out in stores.

From 1st March 2012 onwards (tomorrow!), LEADERS InSolution Masks will be officially launched in Watsons.

We were given a brief introduction on LEADERS InSolution Masks, followed by a mask demo.

The model-of-the-day (Yi Jing) had one side of her face mask-ed with LEADERS InSolution Mask, and the other with Brand X. Do you know which is which?

LEADERS InSolution Mask is an ultra fine & thin silk cellulose mask sheet which adheres to the skin snugly, whereas Brand X is a normal cotton mask sheet which threatens to fall off any minute (true enough, it kept falling off throughout). The former is soaked with tons of highly concentrated essence. The latter? Water type essence. Upon removing the mask, one can instantly see the apparent result difference of the respective masks. The right side of her face was clearly more radiant. A Sweet Saturday @ Raindrops...

Chunky mushroom soup, baked chicken portobello, salmon steak and caramelized apple... Coffee for me, as usual :D

Mask review time...

My pick -- Aloe Soothing Skin Renewal Mask, which provides skin hydration, skin soothing, helps calm & balance irritated skin.

It has a faint floral scent. The mask material is soft yet not flimsy. One thing for sure, it doesn't tear easily.

The left-over essence in the sachet is enough for me to apply for both legs and arms. Now, they feel so soft and smooth to touch. The consistency is runny, and feels kinda sticky. The stickiness dissipates when the essence gets fully absorbed into skin.

You can see now why I pick this mask. See the redness on my skin? I did some light extraction at the nose area. Well, my skin gets red very easily coz it's very thin and sensitive.

Having tried so many masks so far, this mask does adhere to my face contours quite well. The mask sheet is thin enough for the redness on my skin to peek through. Not the thinnest but somehow I really like the material.

 

After leaving the mask on for 20mins...

I am WOW-ed by the efficacy of this mask -- thumbs up! *love x infinity*

Redness ALL GONE! It really does relieve skin stimulation fast with its aloe extract - skin soothed in just 20 mins.

Clear, hydrated skin... *happy max*
