Lychee martini tea was served. It tasted a lil' bland for my liking.

I tried the product prior the start of event. It has a rich velvety texture, as shown from the image above. Having said that, it doesn't feel as greasy as I thought.

I did notice a difference on my hand (see image above), can you? After an hour or so, the area with Murad Hydro-Dynamic™ Ultimate Moisture applied is clearly glowy, moisturized and well-hydrated. Glowy doesn't equal to oily. It felt so soft and smooth to touch. Tested and proven by yours truly.

An interesting skincare talk by Murad International Trainer from USA. She dispensed useful tips on restoring skin's health and youthful glow, while sharing how Murad Philosophies are targeted to resolve skin conditions swiftly and transform skin's health/appearance. And, we had the chance to have our skin concern questions answered.

Murad Philosophies:

1) Emotional Heath

Connect with others as isolation causes the skin and body to age rapidly. A happy challenged mind contributes to overall health - inside out. Do things that make you happy. Hang out with friends more often. Engage in happy thoughts.

2) Internal Health

Take appropriate supplements to meet your skin concerns. Drink water (at least 8 glasses a day). Raw fruits and veggies contain structured water, which promote healthy young cells. Do include at least 1 colorful raw fruit/veggie in each meal.

3) Topical Health

The skincare products that we use. The better hydrated skin cells are, the better they can defend against internal and external aggressors that contribute to skin ageing.

A peppery bowl of onion soup. Surprisingly, I liked the taste and happily savoured every bit. *slurps*

Healthy yummy dinner for us. Ham and cheese sandwiches which tasted super good! The orange bits are apricots, I think. The bread itself tasted sweet, different from the usual fare. I like! :d~

Absolutely tasty! Was so hungry that I ate 2 pieces! :p

Ooo.. I liked the accompanying colorful salad (minus the gingery sauce and black olives).

Lovely dessert (champagne vanilla ice-cream) to end the meal with. Umm.. I am not a fan of maraschino cherry :s

Chantana "taught" me to add the ice-cream into the lychee tea. It tasted sooo much better! Champagne ice-cream lychee tea ♥ hehehe!~

Celebrated ah mei's 22nd birthday @ Imperial Treasure Super Peking Duck (Paragon) - 26.06.2011. Our 1st time dining there and it was an awesome "ducky" experience!

Crispy juicy peking duck skin dipped in sugar.. *drools*

Succulent pieces of nicely cut peking duck meat.. :d~

Traditionally served with mandarin pancakes and green onions, drizzled with tangy hoisin sauce.

Ordered assorted dim sum, the usual ones like custard paus, fried prawn dumplings, har gau, siew mai, char siew baked pastries, etc.

More peking duck meat! Imagine only 3 of us finishing the whole peking duck plus the dim sums! We can really eat uh.. :x

Scallop rice rolls.

The remaining duck meat stir-fried with my all-time-favorite ee fu mian. The total bill was a whopping $130ish!

It's my our 1st time there! All the way @ Level 56! @.@ An eye-opener indeed......

[14 June 2011] JJVC brought together a panel of science and beauty experts at its 1st ever beauty workshop to unveil insights into eye beauty. Industry experts shared their insights into the factors that define attractive eyes, the science behind why eyes are deemed as the window to one's soul, and tips on how to achieve the latest looks and enhance eye beauty.

To start the ball rollin', there's Faridah Ali Chang (registered psychologist, principal trainer and consultant from Rainbow Centre Training & Consultancy), to share with us that the eyes receive greater attention than any other facial feature. True to that.

In fact, according to a recent survey by JJVC, a whopping 80% of S'poreans rank the eyes as the most important facial asset of naturally beautiful women.

Female faces with large eyes in proportion to the face and clearly visible limbal rings (the dark ring outside the iris), were rated as more attractive to men. Thicker limbal rings makes the eyes appear larger and thus more attractive. That explains the rising popularity of beauty enhancement lenses. And her, we're talking about 1 • DAY ACUVUE® DEFINE™.

Next, Mr Peter Angel Wanneck (principal from The School of Make-Up) shared with us the latest make-up tips to get that naturally glamorous look effortlessly.

A meetup finally with the ladies, on 9th May. Yups that's last month. And, June is gonna end in a week's time.

Finally! Lunch @ Halia Restaurant. We had Lunch Specials.

3-Course $32++. Expensive.

For appetiser, it was a dish I'd never tried before. Beetroot, goat feta cheese, fresh orange, pine nut, mesclun salad in xeres vinaigrette. A rather big portion AND of acquired taste.

The ladies ordered the respective 3 other appetisers on the Lunch Specials Menu.

The dish on the left is an appetiser as well - Jalapeno basil prawn cake with mango salsa and mesclun salad. On the right, is the Singapore-style chilli crab spaghettini (with real crab meat). They had this as their main course.

I had something different, which is the herb-marinated seafood skewer. There's grilled prawn, scallop, squid and mussel, couscous salad and citrus vinaigrette. Very fresh and juicy. Small portion though. I did help 1 of 'em polish off the spaghettini :d~ FYI, me don't like to waste food.

The desserts were not bad. Mine was really normal. Chocolate brownie, macadamia ice cream, pecan and maple syrup.

More interesting ones are the cappuccino "dunking pit" and young ginger frozen nougat parfait. According to the waitress, the former had a strong taste which one might not like. My friend went ahead to order it and thankfully she did. It taste awesomeee! Layered warm chocolate, vanilla ice cream AND iced coffee shaving WITH brownie cookie! OMG what's not to like?! Kinda overwhelming for one BUT it makes a good dessert to SHARE ♥

Recommended! (if you've the extra cash to spare.) An occasional indulgence doesn't hurt.

Oops :x Supposed to blog this during the weekends.. Well, I supposed some of y'all might have read Chantana and Jones' blog entries about the hair-color workshop we went last last friday (10th June). The hair-color workshop was known as "Magic Colors with René Janssens". It was all about blondes and reds.

Hmm.. I seriously had the initial intention of going blonde but in the end, I "chicken-ed out" :x And so, I went with the intention of getting a really bright red head like this..

Last year Dec, I cut my hair real short b'coz of A-mei. And now going red-head b'coz of her too! Love her hair sooo much!

And so, this is my hair magician for that day - René Janssens (from Belgium!).

Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I was lucky enough and super honored to get my hair color transformed by him. It was an early X'mas present, as what he said (lol). I replied, that's a super early pressie! xD

122 LIU is more of a cool pinkish (strong) red. Think strawberry. The yellow lighting does distort the true color to an extent >.< It has a nice-smelling rose scent which doesn't lingers. The lippy feels extremely lightweight and moisturizing on my lips. Feels so comfy! This reminds me of the MUFE lipstick I've. Of coz Guerlain's looks/feels much more moisturizing than MUFE's. All in all, I love Guerlain's lippies!

Oh.. I got this pretty fuschia pink bracelet after a lip consultation (which I did "my own consultation" afterall xD). And, it led me to purchasing "my surname" lippy!

The salesgirl was nice enough to give me makeup samples. I wanted to try the liquid foundation but she said don't have -.-

Okay la. I've this to try - Guerlain Parure Pearly White The New Compact Foundation. Enough for 1-time application I think. Hmm......

15th May was my bro's 24th birthday and we celebrated @ Carousel. We had lunch buffet ($50++ weekend) and with any UOB Debit/Credit card, there's 15% off (weekday), 10% off (weekend).

It is housed in Royal Plaza On Scotts Hotel, conveniently located at Orchard area.

The lunch buffet is from 12-2pm. Too little time IMO.

 

I didn't take any photos of the displayed food. The following photos are taken from the hotel's website.

The not-so-amazing spread of seafood. Scallops, crayfish, mussels, prawns, etc.

Halal-concept, so don't expect any pork.. AND B-E-E-F? There wasn't beef. I've no idea why. *sad face*

My very 1st plate of seafood items.. Unfortunately it was the last as well.. I didn't really like the taste THAT much so I went on to explore other food sections.

This plate of food was definitely much better! My all-time-favorite salmon sashimi tasted awesome! :d~ *slurp* Hmm.. I managed to polish more than half of 'em.. teehee :p

The egg benedict tasted fabulous btw. Yummilicious max! The lonesome digestive biscuit with berried cheese tasted extremely good as well! I like :D

Rojak items :x A little of each. Fish, prawn, croissant, peach crumble pie, bread pudding, cheese......

Crème brûlée tasted so good, I have to had at least 2! The potion was pretty small to begin with.

Assorted dessert, which wasn't really a sweet ending. Rather disappointing. 'Nuff said.

Fruits they took, which I didn't touch at all.

I'm very in love with the coffee! It was superbly good, I tell you! The coffee taste was so intense and oh-so-aromatic. Needless to say, I had 2 cups :p If not for the time constraint, I would have had moreee!
