After the Bio-essence event ended, I went to meetup with my gf. Initially thought of just going for some caffeine fix at Coffee & Toast (Citylink Mall). We somehow ended at a place where we shouldn't be x:

No, not KFC. We went to Chicking (Marina Square). Jessie recommended this place as the chicken meat is tender and juicy :d~ YUM YUM ! And not oily, I like ! We shared the 2pc chicken meal as we did have lunch. Umm this was a mini tea break LOL

 

The meal consists of chicken ribs (her favorite), chicken drumstick (my favorite), whipped potato x 2 & ice lemon tea. $6.50 but we paid only $5.50 coz got discount coupon :p

KFC, Popeyes, Arnold's, Chicking. Which one you prefer ?

Chicking whipped potato has a buttery taste which I like. BUT I don't like the brown gravy. Luckily, Jessie's preference is exact opposite xD

A few hours later, Kelvin picked ups up and drove us to Golden Mile Food Centre for dinner.

I had the famous Chung Cheng Prawn Mee (dry). Generous serving indeed for just $3 ! See the amount of chilli o.O There's prawn, pork ribs, sliced eggs, tau pok. Not the best I'd eaten so far. The soup was pretty good (refillable somemore). I still ♥ Beach Road Prawn Noodle House !

Jessie's favorite famous 91 Char Kway Teow, which I don't really like much. Rather healthy coz of the veggies added, without pork/lard sounds so wrong =.= I still prefer the sinful version with lotsa pork/lard x:

I like that it's non sticky and gives my lips a fuller look. I love this pink on me and the awesome shimmers ♥ It stays on pretty well and my lips did feel moisturized. No annoying scent. The downside is none other than the rather bulky packaging. That's about it. Thanks for reading (:

on 21st August, i went for a beauty talkshow conducted by the very famous 牛爾老師 Niu Er in collaboration with Kosé Singapore. it was all thanks to Chantana's giveaway that i won, along with 4 other pretty ladies - Jones, Candy, Hazel and Christie. it was really a pleasant surprise for me since i entered only one comment :p guess i was really luck as Chantana mentioned that my number #6 (my favourite number btw) came out a couple of times ! anyway, i was really happy to meet Iris and Mag again, as well as Debx for the very 1st time (:

that day was definitely one of my happiest days in my life :3 *grins*

so what did i do to deserve a kiss from Niu Er ?

well, he asked us to guess his age (based on his looks) and i answered "20" :p

hmm so what is his actual age then ?

forty-three 43 !!

can you believe that he is that old ? he definitely look much younger, yes ?

well, it was not due to good genes that he look so youthful now. he shared with us how terrible his skin condition was when he was young and how he managed to improve his skin condition eventually. he strongly believe "只有懶人，沒有醜人" (there are only lazy people, no ugly people). very true indeed ! in fact, he spends at least 1-2 hours day and night for his skincare regime !

here are some helpful tips he shared.

it is good to consume white fungus (白木耳) soup with wolfberries ( 枸杞子) in the morning. super good for skin !

he encouraged us to eat more berries (strawberries, blueberries, cranberries, etc) as they are rich in antioxidants. he also mentioned that it is better to eat dried berries (higher concentration of antioxidants) as compared to fresh ones (high water content).

he recommended us to take Japanese ginseng instead of Korean and American ones (too heaty). these are for improving our blood circulation :D

for this look, i'm using urban decay sustainable shadow box. i'm not using all the ten colors though, jus 'grifter' & 'uzi' :D btw i receive quite a no. of compliments with regards to my eye makeup heez~ all thanks to UD of coz ;) and, one of my frens is gonna buy UD palette soon bcoz of my recommendation.. yay ! my sis got hers already heez~

this is how the palette looks like. very beautiful, yes ? i simply love the intricate design.. a worthy piece of art, indeed. the casing itself is made of sustainable bamboo.. unique eh.. u jus have to slide open to uncover the lovely eyeshadows..

btw it also comes with a travel-size primer potion(2.66ml), brush & mirror :D

these are pigmented stuff ! the color payoff is sooo gd ! anyway, i don't see this palette in stores anymore though.. (jus saw them available at sephora ion !) i bought it in sephora ngee ann city sometime back for $68($63).. however, y'all can get the new palettes since UD nv fails to impress me ;)

for face, i'm using shu uemura face architect foundation (355 medium amber). it is one of my favourite foundations so far. it gives me a fresh natural look with excellent coverage. and, the best thing is it smooths my skin making me sooo photogenic :p i likeee !! btw jus brush on some loose or pressed powder to set & dats it.

i'm using mac 'well dressed' satin powder blush for the dolly look ahaas ! this is my daily blusher for now ;D

pinkie lips credits to nyx 'doll pink' round lip gloss (: not too sticky. the color is indeed very doll pink coz my frens were like asking y my lips so pink >.< my lip colors r usually nudes.. or.. nothing :x i'm pretty lazy in terms of lip makeup..

this is after applying foundation powder & concealer.. eyebrows done.. still look pale & sickly eh.. i can't live without eyeliner !! +_+

i created smoky eyes using pop beauty eye cake palette - darkness. the shades: electric blue, silver black, velvet plum, emerald green, and gunmetal.

 

for lips, i'm using the lip gloss from the kose esprique limited ed x'mas set 2009.. love the shimmer glossy finish (:
